Homeschooling is growing!

Gone are the days of limited resources and the image of pasty-looking and socially awkward children who travel around in the paneled station wagon.

Today, the options available to homeschool families are endless, and the limitations are quickly disappearing. Unfortunately, this progress has proven to be a double-edged sword, making the decision to homeschool a bit intimidating and overwhelming.

If you’re considering homeschooling and don’t know where to start, or are currently homeschooling and feeling stuck, you do not have to struggle through it alone. I can walk beside you and help you discover a path to homeschooling success. Do you need help…

Being a homeschool parent can be isolating, but it doesn’t have to be that way. I will help you find the confidence you need to get started.

I offer two different options for homeschool coaching and consulting.

Coaching--$75/hour

These sessions are as you need them and are best suited for those individuals who have already journeyed into homeschooling and are just in need of assistance to get unstuck and/or move forward.

Homeschool Program Consultation--$325

This option is best suited for the new homeschool parent, or those who are just in the planning phase. This option includes an initial 2 hr Zoom meeting (although this can be split up into two 1-hr sessions if preferred) to answer questions and help set up a plan specific for your homeschooling needs. An emailed list of all my resource recommendations. And two 1-hr follow-up face-to-face meetings at the 6 and 9-month mark after beginning your homeschool journey. These follow-up sessions are to explore where you’re at (emotionally, mentally, spiritually), determine what’s working for you, what’s not working, and to explore any changes you may be considering.

My homeschool journey

I have been homeschooling my 2 children for the past 7 years and have spent countless number of hours reviewing and researching homeschooling curricula, products, and services.

I have experienced doubts (am I doing this right?) and made plenty of mistakes along the way (no one in this house is very receptive to learning or teaching before 9 am). I occasionally get that “look” whenever I share that I homeschool (seriously, people, it’s 2022), and still regularly remind myself of the “whys” (everyone’s reasons for choosing to homeschool are different, and for my husband and I it was the combination of many reasons that led us to make this decision).

Growing up, was I homeschooled? Nope. Did I know of anyone personally who was homeschooling when I started? Not a sole. It was truly an adventure into the unknown.

Today, I am more confident about my choices, I have a better understanding of how each of my children learns, and I no longer sweat the small stuff. My oldest has now graduated and is attending university studying material science engineering—so I like to think I had something to do with that.
